As a photographer, Alexander Ratzing has been working within editorial, portrait and documentary photography since 2018. He is currently studying photo design at Hochschule München to further specialize in photography & design. Before moving to Munich mid 2021, he worked as a freelance photographer in Freiburg for 3 years.
Photography began for him with an interest in mountain biking and mountaineering resulting in the urge to document his travels and adventures. Staying true to these interests, nature and mountaineering still play a major role for him, especially in relation to his photography. In addition, he is particularly interested in compelling stories combined with atmospheric image compositions, in an honest and open approach. These values resonate in his personal and commissioned work.
